Non-EU countries, which are part of Schengen include Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

Passport holders can generally, subject to specific countries :

·       Stay visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period across Schengen countries.

·       Passports need to be valid for at least three months beyond the travellers departure date.

Before You Travel - NEW & IMPORTANT

  • The EU Entry/Exit System (EES) is being currently introduced across the Schengen Area and will require biometric registration when entering. Expect lengthy delays especially for initial registration and factor in extra time for any inter-connecting flights.
  • The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) has not yet commenced - due late 2026.  Once introduced, travellers including Australians travelling visa-free to Schengen countries will need to complete an online travel authorisation before departure.
  • Comprehensive travel insurance is highly recommended.

United Kingdom, Cyprus & Ireland

·       The United Kingdom, Cyprus and Ireland are not part of the Schengen Area and have separate immigration rules.
